And listening to ?uestlove and trying to explain why those things he's talking about mattered. And it's a really interesting conversation about experience, history, and performance.

And I dug up an old folder of sketches, from way back when. Here's one from 2003.

The way I described it then was: imagine a bee chasing a swallow. An insect, whose flight is purely power, chasing a bird, whose flight is dictated by aerodynamics.

I still stand by it.
